Clearflow Power Flush
Power Flushing
Have you noticed any of the following problems with your central heating system?
Taking a long time to heat up?
Cold areas on radiators?
Dark water from radiators when bleeding?
Power flushing is an excellent way to:
Remove sludge built up in a heating system over time
Clean the heat exchanger in a boiler to improve efficiency
Improve the overall efficiency of your heating system, giving more comfort and greater fuel efficiency.
How does it work?
We use a Kamco Clearflow CF90 power flushing pump.
Normally, a chemical cleaning solution is added to the heating system a week or so prior to the
The power flushing pump is connected into the heating system, either across standard circulator pump couplings, across the tails of one radiator, or wherever most practicable. The powerful flow, combined with instantaneous flow reverser device, will dislodge and mobilise deposits and corrosion which resist traditional system cleaning methods.
Once the corrosion and sludge deposits have been loosened and mobilised, fresh clean water is forced through the heating system, pushing the contaminated water out through a full-bore dump valve to waste. During the
At the end of the flushing process, the system contains fresh clean water and reinstatement of the system to normal operation takes only a few minutes. A chemical inhibitor is added at the end of the process to reduce any future corrosion.
System flushing will not remedy design or mechanical faults, which should be rectified, but in many cases, it will cure the problems caused by these.
